National Efforts
Associated Builders and Contractors conducts a variety of campaigns that are designed to track and disseminate news and relevant information about the detrimental policies that impact merit shop contractors and their employees.
The Truth About PLAs
TheTruthAboutPLAs.com is a project of Associated Builders and Contractors designed to track and disseminate news and relevant information about the detrimental effects of government-mandated project labor agreements (PLAs). PLAs are costly and discriminatory pre-hire construction agreements that effectively restrict merit shop contractors and their employees from bidding and working on construction projects.
Halt the Assault
The Free Enterprise Alliance is leading the campaign to Halt the Assault on America’s free enterprise system. The Free Enterprise Alliance is the action arm for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and other advocates of limited government, open and fair (and intense) competition, and the economically sound principles upon which America was built. At the heart of the Free Enterprise Alliance’s mission is the belief that while we need government for common sense regulations, the scales have tipped too far in favor of government intrusion and its advocates.
Build More Schools
BuildMoreSchools.com is a project of Associated Builders and Contractors that highlights how costly and discriminatory government-mandated project labor agreements (PLAs) force taxpayers to pay more for school construction. Waste and mismanagement can have a real impact on our children’s education and every dollar wasted could mean fewer classrooms, teachers or books.
