What is the Free Enterprise Alliance
The Free Enterprise Alliance (FEA) is the issue advocacy arm of ABC. Its mission is to educate our members, their employees, elected officials and the general public about the issues important to open competition in America.
Founded by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the Free Enterprise Alliance’s mission is to educate ABC members and their employees, elected officials, and the public about the issues important to open competition in America. At the heart of the Free Enterprise Alliance’s mission is the belief that while we need government for common sense regulations, the scales have tipped too far in favor of government intrusion.
The ABC PAC Process
When ABC PAC contributes to a candidate’s campaign, it does so as part of a national strategy. It makes its decisions based on the country’s political landscape taking into account the role each legislator will play in championing merit shop issues. If he or she is a first-time candidate, they need to receive 100% on the ABC PAC Candidate Questionnaire which lists all of ABC’s priority issues. If he or she is an incumbent candidate, they need to have an 70% voting record with ABC.
