Albert Alwang is the Director of Business Recruitment and Expansion for Wake County Economic Development (WCED), a program of the Raleigh Chamber. He leads efforts to attract and grow industries across Wake County, supporting projects that generated more than $1.7 billion in investment and 1,459 new jobs last year. Albert builds partnerships with corporate decision-makers and site consultants worldwide, while advancing initiatives in sustainability, workforce, and community development. He leads the county’s effort in existing industry relationship, and serves as the staff lead for the chambers Business Sustainability Roundtable. Albert holds degrees in economics from Purdue University and Virginia Tech and lives in Durham with his family.
